Taxi services are available throughout Antigua. Fares between the airport and many hotels and destinations are fixed and can be obtained upon arrival. Tour rates can also be obtained beforehand from the hotels. There is a taxi dispatch kiosk located at the V.C. Bird International Airport.

Local Information
There is just enough rainfall to maintain the green landscape. The hurricane season runs from June to November. With 365 beaches, one for each day of the year, this is the perfect climate to enjoy nature.
At the same time, the country is subject to gentle trade winds which help to maintain the ideal climate and add a calming touch.
Local Currency
The local currency in Antigua and Barbuda is the Eastern Caribbean (EC) Dollar with a fixed rate to the US dollar of US$1 to EC$2.7. It is advisable to verify exchange rates prior to your trip. All major credit cards and travellers cheques are also welcome. Standard shopping hours are Monday to Saturday 9:00am- 5:00pm. In addition to the numerous stores in the capital of St. John’s, there are the Heritage Quay and Redcliffe Quay duty free shopping centres located at the entrance of the St. John’s Harbour. The official language of Antigua & Barbuda is English.
